The summer is half way over

Its been so hot this summer, its been hard to do things outside.  One Saturday we decided to take a trip to Boone and escape the heat.  We love going to the mountains because its that far away.  We went to the children's play house (children's museum), checked out a new park, went to the Mast General Store, ate BBQ and listened to some music, rode the parkway with the windows down, and then I got some retail therapy at the outlets.  The kids did really well for being gone all day with no naps.  Hadley slept a little bit.  We didn't get home until after 10pm.

We've been trying to spend some one on one time with the kids.  Brian had a date with Kaelyn.  I put her in a dress and painted her finger nails and toenails for the first time.  She loved it.  They got froyo and went to the toystore.

I had a date with Jaxon the next day.  We got fro yo, went to a reptile store, and shopped for some school supplies.

Took the kids for a bike ride at their favorite park.

Brian took Jaxon to play mini golf

Jaxon and Kaelyn went to my inlaws house for several days while Brian had surgery to put an end to our growing family.  It was a huge help.  I'm not a very patient nurse when I have 4 people to take care of and need me all at the same time.

Popsicles on the playground one last time.  Then he starts kindergarten camp for 3 days 8:30-11:30.  He will meet his teacher, make some friends, and have fun at his new school.
Its hard to believe school will start in 3 weeks.

How is Hattie 7 months old already?  She is a really good baby.  She still wakes me up one time during the night, but I'll take it.  She's a really good sleeper otherwise.  If we stay at home all day she's probably awake for like 4 hours.
I'll feed her early morning then she'll go back to sleep, feed again between 9-10, sometimes she will be up and will play for 30min-1hour then nap or I'll put her back down for her morning nap right after I feed her. Then she will wake up between 12-1.  I'll feed her again and have her play for 30min-1hr.  Then she will nap again until around 4:30-5.  She will feed, play, and will eat some solid food, and then she's ready for bed around 7:30-8.
She will give you a good smile when you talk to her.  She loves crawling around and spinning in her exersaucer.  Kaelyn has to give her a hug and kiss at naptime and bedtime.  When she gets fussy she only wants me.  Her schedule is still unpredictable. She has taken a nap a couple of times now at church our other kids did not nap at church.

Kaelyn is still our drama queen. Kaelyn and Jaxon get along for the most part.  Its fun seeing them play together. They like to push each other's buttons
