Road Trip to VA and PA

We visited with my parents for a few days before heading up to PA.  It was a long road trip.  Kaelyn doesn't sleep in the car. She was awake the whole time.  Jaxon slept some.  I found some color by number sheets that kept Jaxon busy and we also did a road scavenger hunt.  He seemed to love that.

Mom and I had a mother/daughter date to see the King and I at the Kennedy Center.

We went to Burke Lake Park to ride the train and carousel.

We were in PA for 4 days visiting with Brian's brother, wife, and 2 kids.  Brian's parents were with us too.  We stayed at a house we found on airbnb.  It was an older house that had 4 bedrooms upstairs, 1 bedroom downstairs, and a pull out couch in the laundry room. the floors creaked upstairs and light came into the rooms.  It made it hard for Hadley to go to sleep.  We ended up sleeping on the pull out couch and stuck her in the pack n play in the half bath where we were.  It worked out fine.  I was happy because all the kids had their own rooms and they slept at night.  Since we were gone most of the day and not near the house, the kids did not nap for 5 days straight.  I had a hard time with them getting off schedule.

We got the free tour of the Chocolate Factory

We went to Knoebels amusement park. The kids had fun on the rides. Kaelyn loved the log ride.  Jaxon wasn't so sure about the roller coaster ride.

We also went to Roots Market. A huge farmers market/flea market

The kids had fun with their cousins.  We had fun seeing family but a week away from our normal schedules and our beds, we were ready to be home.
