Thanksgiving

Hadley has figured out how to climb through the tunnel

I missed the Thanksgiving program at Jaxon's school because Kaelyn was sick with a fever.  We were supposed to leave after school to head to my parents for Thanksgiving.  I was pretty stressed.  Thankfully she got better and we were able to leave.
My friend Heather recorded the program.  The kids acted out a story and Jaxon's part was saying "Praise the Lord" because he was the pilgrim minister.

We went to visit my parents for Thanksgiving.  My sister and her family came too.  It was so fun to watch the cousins play together.  My aunts and uncle came to visit for lunch the day before Thanksgiving.  They had never met Hadley. Then on Thanksgiving Bill and Patsy came to join us for lunch.  Aunt Wendy gave Jaxon his first watch.  It was a batman watch and he was so excited.  He loved it.

We also had one of my high school friends in the area take some family pictures.  It was really windy and Kaelyn was still not feeling 100%.

We came back home on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.  It was nice to rest up and decorate for Christmas before having to go back to school.

This doesn't happen often so we had to take a picture of it.  Our car ride home.

Jaxon had to decorate his ornament for school.  His assignment was to decorate it to show how he and his family celebrate the holiday.

The very next weekend we met up with my family again in Bryson City for the Polar Express.  We stayed in a cabin all together.  It was so much fun to be together again.  There were 4 bedrooms for all the adults.  Jaxon and Maddie Grace shared a trundle bed in the theater room.  Kaelyn slept in the laundry room and Hadley in the closet.  It was great.  I was a little nervous about the sleeping arrangements.  But it all worked out.  When we travel that is one thing that stresses me out.  Our kids aren't quite old enough to share a room.  Kaelyn is still in a crib and pack n play.  Im a little high maintenance.  Im just so used to how things are done at home and it works for us.  We all sleep.

Brian and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary by going to the Michael W Smith concert at our church.  It was a Christmas concert and we really enjoyed getting out.  Jaxon's teacher at school decided not to use the tickets.

It was theme night at Awana and Jaxon needed to dress up as part of the nativity.  He was a shepherd.

Hadley is eating alot more and pulling herself up.  She still is not sleeping through the night every night.  She will sleep through the night every now and then but can't figure out the reason. We try to feed her until she pushes to hand away to make sure she's had enough to eat.  My milk supply has been going down which is kind of sad, so i've been heating up some whole milk in her bottle to give her before nap or bedtime or in the middle of the night. At her appointment in November she weighed 16lb 7.5oz.  She's been on the small side and had a little trouble gaining weight.  She's eating alot more food now and will use her hand to push your hand out of the way to let you know she's done.
She finally has her first tooth thats trying to come in.

We had an early snow storm at our house.  It cancelled Jaxon's field trip to the children's museum on a Friday and I was supposed to chaperone.  It stuck around for most of the weekend.  It was kind of nice to be snowed in. Brian took Kaelyn and Jaxon out to go sledding.
Kaelyn was so excited about the snow coming.  She said she was going to jump in the snow.  Once the snow got here and we showed her after nap, she wasn't as excited as we thought she was going to be.  They still had lots of fun playing outside.

Dinner at Chick Fil A because we had to get out of the house

Jaxon has been doing a really great job with his reading and picking out sight words.  I am so amazed at how far he's come.  He really tries to take care of his sisters.  Sometimes he thinks he's in charge.

Cousin Ally came for dinner.

11 months pictures (I'm so late).  Its hard to capture pictures these days of her, she's so active.

Brian had spirit week at school and dressed up each day.  He was the old man from the movie "Up"

Jaxon helping me get our Christmas cards ready to mail.

Kaelyn had her 3 year old check up- She weighs 29lbs and is 3 feet 1 1/2inches tall
She continues to add to her vocabulary every day.  She's a talker.  She still misses her brother and daddy during the day while they are at school.  We try to find stuff to do together.  I feel like on most days its running errands or doing stuff around the house.  She doesn't like to share her toys with Hadley.

Brian's work Christmas party at his coworkers house.  Kaelyn enjoys playing with Emma.

Small group Christmas party- dinner and decorating cookies.  We love our small group.

This is the second year we got to play Mary and Joseph at church.  I had to create a bump this year since last year we were pregnant.  We went around to the different preschool rooms and visited the kids.  We told them we had been traveling and we were looking for a place to stay.  We were very tired and I was going to have the baby soon.  It was quite humorous the looks we got.  We got to visit Kaelyn's room too.  She said "Mommy you Mary"

Jaxon's Christmas program at school.  They made crafts and learned about how different countries celebrate.  They sang 12 days of Christmas.  His part was 5 golden rings.

Polar express day at school- Jaxon got to wear his PJs to school and they watched the Polar Express movie and had popcorn and hot cocoa

Conversations with Jaxon and Kaelyn-
Jaxon- My body is tired, God made every part of my body.  That must have been hard work

He prayed for us this morning on our way to school and he thankful Jesus for going to Awana so he can learn about Jesus.  Jaxon said he always likes to go to church on Wednesdays for Awana and Sundays cause he likes to learn about Jesus.  He said he likes to learn about Jesus so he can ask him in his heart.  He said someday.

Sitting in the car line, hiding my orange as I peel it.  Kaelyn is in the very back.  She says it smells like orange.  I can't hide food from her.

Going to get Jaxon's flu shot-
Wearing Hadley, kaelyn in the stroller, jaxon seemed ready and ok. Then we got in the media center and he wouldn’t come and sit down. He ran away from us and hid behind a chair. It took some convincing on my part and the people there giving the shots. Then while wearing h he sat on my lap and it was hard to hold him down. He was wiggly and wasn’t cooperating. A man felt sorry for me and tried to find a superhero video on his phone for him to help distract. We finally got the shot in him and he melted down and got dramatic like he usually does. Then k was crying and having a meltdown because she wanted j to share his treat with her. I was embarrassed. Then he was fine as we were exiting the school.
The dr office might have been better.
On a positive note. we  got home at 2 and k is down for her nap.

Kaelyn -I want to go to school. Where is my miss Scott. Me stay on Green
I want to do my sight words.
Mommy I not sick. No you aren’t sick but we are going to the dr to make sure you are growing. Mommy I'm bigger. Give me coffee

Jaxon-Did you tell Jesus you were taking over for him
No I just want to help Jesus

Jaxon-Mom- what do you want me to pack you for lunch tomorrow?
J-I don’t want you to pack my lunch. I want to buy my lunch.
Mom- Well Jaxon not for Tomorrow.
J-Well mommy I want choc. Milk.
I know you are tired of packing My lunch. I just want to buy my lunch.

Jaxon loves his legos. He thinks everytime we go to Target he should get Legos. Kaelyn gets her nails painted by Maw Maw.
