Easter

Easter program and Egg Hunt at preschool

splashing in the rain puddles

Kaelyn doesn't like it when I vacuum because its too loud but she likes to help me

Easter Egg Hunt at a local park with free rides and poor Kaelyn didn't get any eggs.  Then our friends from church did an Easter Egg Hunt at their house and hid 1500 eggs for the 80+ kids that came and she was able to find some then.  The kids had a lot of fun.

Brian, Jaxon, and Wayne left for a few days during spring break to go camping and hiking.  They hiked 10 miles.  I couldn't believe that Jaxon made it.  They had alot of fun and I'm glad they got to go.  Jaxon was really excited to use his sleeping bag and his new water pack.  He also enjoyed drinking hot chocolate and mastered pooping outside.  Kaelyn loved testing out Jaxon's new sleeping bag.  I was glad they all made it back in one piece. My mother in law came to hang out with me and the girls and we enjoyed the comfort of our bed, sleeping indoors, and having an indoor bathroom.

We had a nice spring break just here at home.  We checked out a new park.

Jaxon and his buddy were practicing riding their bikes at a park together.

Easter Sunday with family

Kaelyn loves to have tea parties and loves to read books.  She has been peeing on the potty at church during MOPS I think mainly because her friends have been doing it.  We haven't really worked on it much at home.  She is still a chatter box and has learned bad words from her brother "stupid" and "what the heck" Its amazing what she picks up
She is very particular about her bedtime routine.  She loves it when I put her to bed.  She wants me to sit in the rocking chair and she will sit next to me and not in my lap. She requests Jesus song (Jesus Loves Me) and Hug neck (I love you a bushel and a peck)
I'll ask her to give me a kiss and she says cry mommy- so I pretend to cry so she'll give me a kiss.
She will give me an attitude if she doesn't get her way and throw a fit. She's been getting lots of boo boos

Most of the time Jaxon and Kaelyn play well together.  He can get bossy at times but he also does it to protect her.  We were in the van running errands and had a great morning, then they argued and Kaelyn didnt' understand when to stop.  She was laughing at Jaxon for some reason and Jaxon wanted her to stop.  Then he said "I'm not going to be your brother anymore."
But then he also will use his super powers to kill bugs when Kaelyn is afraid of them.

Jaxon loves legos and he is getting really good at building things and following the directions.
I dropped off Jaxon at school one day and his teacher told me that she has been working with him on taking his finger out of his nose and mouth.  She has gotten him to use the hand sanitizer so he doesn't pass germs.  So when they went outside she noticed he was carrying the hand sanitizer with them and she said Jaxon why are you bringing that and "he said just in case I pick my nose"

I love his questions most of the time- His latest- "Mommy why did Jesus have to go in the tomb he didn't do anything wrong?"

Brian and I have enjoyed laying out in the hammock on our screened in porch at night after the kids go down.  Its been nice to talk and not have distraction of our phones or TV.

Enjoyed catching up with my college friend Ashley who drove from South Carolina with her 4 kids to visit.  It was fun to see our 7 children play together

Hadley seems to love being outside even in the evening when its the witching hour.
