November/December fun

Having fun with daddy at the park flying his helicopter

We decided this time to have the Baby moon in Greensboro and have a free place to stay- at our house.
We ran some errands and got a Free massage at bed bath and beyond in their massage chairs.
We started out christmas shopping and went to some craft fairs to buy some presents.
Then the hubby surprised me with dinner and a play at the local theater in Burlington
We went to dinner at Red Bowl- the place we went when we were dating-on the night we talked about marriage.  The kids stayed with the inlaws for a long weekend and had a great time.

Jaxon had his special thanksgiving performance at his preschool, then the director asked a few students what they were thankful for- Jaxon said horses and monkeys
He sang some songs on stage and had a thanksgiving lunch.  It was fun to watch.  Can't believe how much he's learning in preschool.  So thankful that his preschool is 6 minutes from the house and that he is enjoying it.  He's learning the days of the week, the months of the year, and learning to write his letters.  Each week they have learned a new part to the book Brown Bear, Brown Bear what do you see book.  Since we have the copy he knows how to read it and Kaelyn loves to tell the animals that are pictured.

Kaelyn loves her babies

We celebrated my Grandmama's birthday the weekend before Thanksgiving in South Carolina with the family.  We had a great time visiting with family even though it was a short weekend.  The kids enjoyed being with their cousins.

Made a chain to count down until the due date to help Jaxon understand when baby might be here

We had to postpone Turkey Day until Saturday because Brian was sick and so were his parents.  Brian ended up cooking ribs on Turkey Day then grilled a turkey on Saturday.  He ended up being sick the whole break, which was a bummer.

Jaxon's funny sayings
As I'm trying to get ready for bed
J: mommy mommy mommy (trying to get me to come to his room, like it was an emergency)
M: what do you need Jaxon?
J:did you know I have super powers?
M: I had no idea, what are your super powers?
J: its to fight off the soldiers because they were trying to steal the babies.
M: what babies?
J: Kaelyn

I'm learning how different our son and daughter are.... when Jaxon was little he wanted nothing in his crib (no lovie or stuffed animal) Kaelyn is up to 3 baby dolls and 3 stuffed animals. She will let you know if they didn't make it upstairs for naptime or bedtime. So last night we put both to bed and Kaelyn had everything she needed in her crib. We made our way downstairs had our feet propped up and was relaxing and I was working on shopping on cyber monday, then both of them needed us. Jaxon decided to poop in his pull up and needed to be changed and Kaelyn was screaming at the top of her lungs, like she was in pain. Usually we try and let her cry it out, but this cry was different. I volunteered to handle Kaelyn. I went into her room and one of her stuffed animals was on the floor. She was not happy. I picked up the stuffed animal and gave it to her and all was well in her world.

J: Mommy I've got a magic trick.
M: oh yeah whats that?
J: I can swallow a grape and then bring it back up.
M: Where did you learn that?
J: I just learned it up

Having fun at the Greensboro children's museum

Visiting with my old coworkers and visiting with friends with fun toys to play with before we have to head home

Brians work had a Christmas party at Joe and Rebecca's house.  It was so much fun meeting some of his coworkers at his new school.  We ate some good food and the kids had fun playing with all the kids there.

This year we went to the Greensboro Christmas parade for the first time.  It was alot of fun to meet up with our friends and watch all the floats and marching bands.  The kids had a great time.  Then we went through a really neat drive threw nativity that evening with our friends and had BBQ for dinner.

We had a late anniversary dinner date.  We went to Southern Roots where we hadn't gone to in a while.  We ate yummy shrimp and grits and seafood gumbo outside by the heaters and fire and listened to live music.  It was so relaxing and enjoyed a night to ourselves thanks to the inlaws for watching the kids.

The hubby couldn't go wrong with roses and chocolate and a peppermint milkshake from chick fil a

The kids really do love each other and Jaxon does a great job of taking care of his sister.

Kaelyn and I went to a free music class and she found a real baby to help feed.

Some random pictures of the kids

At a friend's birthday party decorating cookies.  I think Kaelyn enjoyed eating the icing.

Jaxon wrote a birthday card for his friend.  He's been learning his letters at school and I'm so proud of him that he can write his name.

Kaelyn goes to bed with all her babies and bunnies in her arms then she lays on her belly and puts her dolls to sleep too.

Kaelyn loved to play in her Jaxon's carseat while I was vacuuming the van.

Jaxon always enjoys going out to breakfast with daddy.
