Our typical schedule
I will feed Kaelyn between 6:30-7am and then she will nap until 10-10:30
Jaxon will wake up anywhere between 7-8:30. While Kaelyn is napping Jaxon and I usually play inside or outside. Its great for us to have one on one time together.
After Kaelyn wakes up we usually run errands or we do something fun together or with friends.
Lunch is around noon. Naptime for both kids is from 1:30-2. Jaxon can usually entertain himself while I feed Kaelyn and put her down. They both wake up around 5. I'll feed Kaelyn again then we will eat dinner together shortly after Brian gets home. Bedtime is around 8:30 for both kids. Then the day starts all over again.
Jaxon is very insistent that he is right about something. He is very protective of his toys and his sister's toys. He makes us laugh all the time with the things he says. He is getting pretty good on his bike and loves to ride on the road. When he rides his bike I usually walk or push Kaelyn in the stroller. He is really good about riding his bike in the grass and stopping when he sees a car coming. He loves playing with his monster trucks and he loves to race his cars. He loves giving sweet pea hugs and kisses.
Kaelyn
August 6 I felt her 2 front teeth trying to come through and it hasn't seem to affect her. Thankfully she's been her happy self. She has been sitting up for a little while and now is starting to take off and do an army crawl. We had to move some furniture around in the den so she can have a safe little corner to play.
She is eating more food and gets excited when she wants more. She loves to see her brother after she wakes up. Feeding her 3 meals a day is sometimes challenging especially if we are out of the house. This month she has been chewing on the teething crackers- Mum Mums. I still give her pureed foods. She also seems to like black beans, blueberries, or little pieces of peach or watermelon.
9 month Dr appt
weight- 16lbs 3 oz
height- 27 inches
head- 44.5 cm
She did great at her dr appt and didn't have to get shots
They love to ride the grocery cart together at costco or Jaxon will get in the big part and Kaelyn will ride up front.
We had family in town for Kaelyn's dedication at church. Our church believes in dedicating babies. Basically it means that as parents we are dedicating our child to the LORD. We as parents are publically acknowledging our gratefulness that they are a gift from God, our desire is that our child lives a life centered on Jesus, our responsibility as parents is to help lead our child to have a personal relationship with Jesus, and we need the body of Christ to care for and help equip us to raise our child in the truth of God's Word. We are so thankful for our church and the community of people God has placed in our life. The smocked dress she is wearing was made by my great aunt (so Kaelyn's great great aunt) She is in her 80s and still smocks.
The verse we chose for Kaelyn and our prayer for her is Proverbs 31:30 "Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised"
My parents came for a long weekend and then took Jaxon home with them for a few days. The morning they were supposed to leave with Jaxon I had to take him to the doctor. We found out he had an ear infection. He was up most of the night in pain. The ear wax was so bad they had to irrigate it before they could even see the infection. He did pretty good and they gave him a special prize. Then Kaelyn and I traveled up to visit and stay for my dad's family reunion. We left Brian at home since he had to work and it would have been too much traveling for him for such a short weekend. Kaelyn did great on the 5-6 hour trip up to VA. Then I drove solo with both kids home. It was a long drive but I'm used to it and it really wasn't that bad. Both kids did great. It was great to be with my parents and have the kids spend some extra time with them.
Fun at Mimmie and Pop Pop's
Reunion at St Michaels with my dad's family- We enjoyed crabs and other good food
