March madness continues

Jaxon loves his sister.  He still amazes us with his new words and things he can do by himself.  If he is wearing pants with elastic he can easily go to the bathroom by himself and wash his hands.  At BSF (bible study fellowship) one Wednesday morning he learned to use a stool and go to the bathroom standing up.  He can now do that at home and tells me he wants to go potty by himself. During the day when Jaxon is tired or something that comforts him is not a paci or a blanket.  He usually sticks his thumb in his mouth and with the same hand he sticks his pointer finger up his nose or he sticks his other hand down his pants.  Its rather gross, but he's a boy and I've learned thats what boys do.  When he wakes up in the morning he usually says "mommy I'm ready to get up" and doesn't get out of his bed.  He waits for us to come and get him.  That was my biggest fear, that he would get out of his bed, but now I think he's afraid to because he knows he will get in trouble.  He loves to look out his window and watch daddy leave for work.  If daddy has already left before he gets up he looks out his window and says "daddy is already at work" He has a really good memory and remembers where he has left his toys.  Brian will say, "you know what Jaxon" and Jaxon will say "daddy loves me"  I love it when he says "I love you mommy"  He's polite most of the time and says please and thank you without being prompted.  He still has a certain way of doing things and is good about putting things back.  In the morning he has an opinion on what he wants to wear- either monster truck, mcqueen, or brother shirt.

We've enjoyed being outside and Jaxon loves walking daily to a house under construction in our neighborhood.  He says "lets go see he's making a mess"  He usually pulls his wagon or pushes his lawn mower.  The other day was an exciting day because the cement mixer was there for us to watch. We love our neighborhood and he is really good about moving over to the grassy area and stopping and getting out of the way if cars are coming.

Kaelyn had her 4 month well visit and she wasn't gaining much weight.  So the doctors wanted me to add in an extra feeding.  She's been such a good baby and doesn't cry much.  Since she sleeps through the night she's not getting fed then.  So instead of pumping in the morning when I get up, I wake her up around 6:30 to feed her and then she goes back to sleep for a good 3 hours. She usually naps in the afternoon when Jaxon goes down.  I think we are now more on a routine.  Hopefully I can start leaving her in the nursery at church soon.  She holds her head up pretty well now and talks and smiles all the time.  She has turned over a few times.  The first time she rolled over was on February 21 when we were over at Brian's parents house.

She loves her feet

Quick visit with Mimmie and Pop Pop

Jaxon had a virus over the weekend with a slight fever and a really bad cough.  He never acted like he felt bad thankfully.  This was the first time I had a to take care of both kids with one child being sick.  Thankfully he wasn't too clingy and we got through it and nobody else got sick.
