18 Months

Can't believe our little man is 18months old already.

18 months is such a fun age.  Jaxon has been doing so many new things.....

He loves to read to himself
He can get on and off his rocking horse and he's almost mastered getting on and off the couch
He knows where his belly button, nose, mouth, ears, feet, and hands are
He knows how to open doors- so we have to lock the pantry and bathroom door (we don't have the traditional door knobs, we have the latches/levers)
He will point to the light switch and talks and will want us to turn it on
He will make his way to the stairs when we say "Lets go to bed", make sure the gate is closed and climb the stairs, go to his room and turn his music on.  He knows the routine.
He will say bye bye and ni ni (night-night) and will open and close his fist
He can say neh neh for the sound of the horse
He will say who-who for the sound of a dog when asked or will imitate the dog bark when he sees a dog outside
He will point and attempt to say "truck or car" as they drive by
He can say mama and dada but I don't know if he understands what he is saying
He will go and get things when asked
He likes to imitate words or noises that we say- I guess we better watch what we say or do

I've decided to keep track of his new words/sounds....
Ball, truck, mama, dada, paw paw, Mimi, Bell (inlaws dog), cracker, train and car sound, cow sound, horse sound, dog sound

18 month stats...
weight- 22lbs 11oz
height- 2ft 6.5 inches
head- 48.25cm

The doctors were worried that he hadn't grown much taller.  So they wanted to do some blood tests.  I'm not worried all kids grow at different times.  He looks healthy to me.
