May

I have been wearing Hadley on my back lately when we have to run errands, either as a family or just me and the girls.  She's too wiggly in the shopping cart and she likes to turn around and stand up with her safety strap on.  She does pretty good being worn and I have figured out how to put it on by myself.
Hadley still loves her food and it keeps her occupied if she needs to be contained.  When we say ok Hadley its time for bed she walk over to the gate and waits for us to open it and she loves to climb the stairs.  She knows exactly where to go.  Our other 2 were the same way.  She's a good napper/sleeper.  When I lay her down and tell her nite nite, she waves at me.
She still can't communicate with words yet but she will make noises to let us know what she wants.  If she is frustrated she will lay on the floor with her head down and have a little tantrum.  She is trying to feed herself.
She had a high fever for 3 days with no other symptoms.
She likes to fold her hands when its time to pray

Kaelyn is a mess and will have meltdowns when things don't go her way.  She will aggravate her brother and he will aggravate her.  She finished up her swim lessons for the spring and did great.  She knows how to jump off the edge, put her head under water and float, and even swim a little.  She continues to be a talker and the life of the party.  She asks lots of questions. She likes to dress her self in the morning and at bedtime.  Then when she's in bed at night or for naptime I catch her taking her clothes off.  She still sleeps in a crib and it still works out great because she is contained.

We are so proud of Jaxon.  He finished up his Awana Sparks book.  He memorized all of the verses in his book.  We had an awards ceremony with Kona ice for everyone to enjoy at church.

We can't believe Jaxon turned 6 this month.  I made him lego cupcakes to take into school.  He wanted to have his birthday party at Chuck E Cheese.  Even though he had never been there, thats where he wanted to have it.  He had seen too many commercials on TV.  He decided he wanted Chick Fil A for dinner, so we went there as a family and I made a lego birthday cake for  him. I decided after that I would stick to making cupcakes.  He invited his school friends to his party, a few from small group and his neighborhood buddy.  They had a great time and I didn't have to plan much.  It was great since it was last minute. We got Jaxon a new (used) bike for his birthday.  One thats a little bit bigger than the one he currently has, a spiderman kite (he can't wait to fly it), and a small lego table.

Baths are a must everyday now.  We play hard outside.  Thankfully Jaxon is now taking showers on his own.  He loves it.
We decided to sign him up for an intense summer prep class for swim lessons.  Monday-Thursday for 2 weeks.  He loves it.  We needed to catch him up to where Kaelyn is and have him be more comfortable in the water.
You would think by May he would have his school routine down in the morning and afternoon and I wouldn't have to remind him. I find myself frustrated and fussing at him more than I need to to get moving.  He needed to unpack his bookbag and get ready for dinner so we could rush off to swim.  I fussed at him to get moving and he proceeded to hand me this card that he made for me.
"Happy Mothers Day. You are the best mom I ever had and you are special to me"  I had to ask for forgiveness. Thankful for my little 6 year old that forgives me when I mess up.
He's curious about alot of things. We were talking about babies and he wanted to know how the doctor gets the baby out.  I told him he has special instruments to pull the baby out.  Sometimes they have to cut the mom open.  He wanted to know if it hurt.  I said well they didn't have to cut me open.  Then we talked about stitches and staples and how they have to close the mommy back up.  I told him the doctors gives the mommy medicine so she doesn't have to feel the stitches.  Boy, I'm not ready for the birds and the bees talk, i'm sure that'll be next.

Fun playing in the sandbox

GUF cookout- 78 people were at our house for the cookout.  Thankful for no rain, a shady backyard and yummy food.  Several guys smoked/grilled meat and everyone brought sides to share.

celebrating 70 years at Westover.  I took Jaxon and Kaelyn to church and Brian stayed home with Hadley who was sick.  The kids were so excited to ride the bus to church.  We were encouraged to park in the overflow lot and they were shuttling people to the church.

Hadley is always happy when I go upstairs to get her.  She will be standing up in the bed with a smile.

Jump N Fun

I usually grab several diapers for the girls on my way out just in case we don't have anymore in the van.  This usually results in having way more than we need.  I end up having a collection of them when I clean out the van.  This particular day I thought we should have at least a couple in there.  We were at a friends house and of course I needed one and I didn't have any for Kaelyn, so she ended up wearing one of Hadley's diapers.  This is what happens after I clean out the van.

Kaelyn's funnies
I needed to hold Kaelyns hand when we were in the parking lot.  I said you don't want to get smashed like a pancake and she said smashed like a pancake and put syrup on me.

She's not afraid to ask women if they have a baby in their tummy

She wants to be a boy when she grows up so she can go to work.  She also has said so she can go to the big boy class

Got to go deliver things to Brian that he needed for school.  Kaelyn is always so excited to see daddy at work.  She ran into his class and said "Daddy, Daddy, Daddy"  He's my special daddy.
