Spring Break

We had chance to get away to Altantic Beach for Brian's spring break.  We didn't get to have a full week at the beach because he had to make up some snow days.  Even though the weather was a little chilly we had a great time and Jaxon loved playing in his big sandbox.  He loved looking out the window of our hotel room at the beach, he watched daddy fish,  he had fun at a local playground, ate some yummy grits, and went to the aquarium.
We had a great time as a family.

We came back just in time for Easter Sunday.

Eggstravaganza

We had a fun time at our church's Eggstravaganza, Easter celebration for the kids.  So bless to be apart of Bible teaching church.  Jaxon is learning so much and we love being in community with people our age.

Ready...set...go...

New Words

Jaxon is growing up too fast.  His vocabulary list is getting longer everyday and he is starting to put more words together.
monkey
diaper
toys toys
mower
tractor
can say some of his friend's names
hop
jump
hurry up
giddy up
he says hi yah instead of yee ha when he is on his rocking horse
he will say bless you if we sneeze
talk to you (when he wants us to talk on his pretend phone)
plane
car
truck
water please
noise
learning to count from 1-10 in Spanish, favorite number is "ocho"

He will help put away his toys when we ask him.  He loves to play with his trucks and tractors and his toys outside.  He is such an outside.  I'm praying that we won't have a really hot summer because I don't know how I will be able to stand being outside and pregnant.  I have figured out that I don't need to go to the gym to get my exercise.  I just need to take Jaxon outside and watch him play or rather chase him around in order to keep up with him.

Serious reading time outside

Having fun with his buddy Andrew

I tend to get tired in the afternoon when Brian gets home from work.  Thankfully Jaxon takes a good 3-4 hour nap most days which gives me a break.  When Brian gets home they have fun playing together.  After dinner I don't mind cleaning up and Brian will give him a bath and put him to bed.  That is their bonding time.

He loves his daddy.  He will run to greet him when he comes home.

Fun on the Farm

Twice a year my old co-worker hosts Fun on the Farm Day for autistic kids and their families.  He has hayrides, rides on the Hum V.  face painting, fun on the bounce things, rides on the horses, good food, and good music.  Brian makes balloon animals and I usually help him, but since Jaxon was born I am usually watching after him.  This year Jaxon had fun.  He wasn't interested in eating.  All he was interested in was the tractor, play in the sand, and clap to the music.  Before we left he even rode a horse.  I can't believe he lasted all day without a nap.  I'm glad we brought his lawn mower for him to push around.  I told my coworker we would send him a bill.

Elon Reunion and being outside

It was fun to have a playdate with some old roommates from college and their kiddos. We had fun playing in our play room and then we took them outside.

Jaxon loves being outside.  We took a picnic and went for a walk at a local park .

Jaxon loves to watch his daddy mow the grass. So thankful for our screened in porch. It keeps him entertained.

Around the firepit having dinner. Jaxon is enjoying his first roasted marshmellow.
