Where has the month of December gone

Brian was sick on Thanksgiving Day and then wasn't 100% until 2 weeks later.  What a way to spend your holiday break.  Since we had a big Thanksgiving meal with Brian's family when his brother and his wife were in town earlier in November, we had a nice and relaxing day with just Brian's parents and grandmother.  We had steak and potatoes instead of turkey.

Happy Anniversary!!! Its been an amazing 4 years.
We love going to new places and enjoying a B&B.  We didn't want to go too far for the weekend and spend most of our time driving.  We had booked a B&B for our anniversary in Hendersonville but couldn't really celebrate our anniversary when we wanted to.  Brian was sick and my inlaws who were supposed to keep Jaxon were sick 2 weekends in a row.  We ended up postponing our trip and our friends from our small group graciously took care of Jaxon for the weekend.  They have a daughter about the age of Jaxon and they seemed to have a great time together.  They went on walks, made cinnamon applesauce ornaments, and went to Monkey Joes.  Of course at Monkey Joes all Jaxon wanted to do was run around.  He wasn't interested in jumping and playing on the slide.
It was so nice to be able to get away and spend time with Brian just the 2 of us. Even though it rained some.

Jaxon's weekend with Maisley

Jaxon is growing so fast....
It's so funny when we are on the phone talking with someone and we are getting ready to end the conversation Jaxon seems to know and says "bye" before we get a chance to.

When we finishing our prayers at mealtime he says "Men" for Amen.

We got the sweetest note from his teacher at Sunday the other Sunday...

I was so proud.  We haven't really practiced with him at home.   So thankful for his teachers at church and teachers at BSF (Bible Study Fellowship).  With BSF I have bible study and small group at church once a week and the kids are learning the same thing in their own class.
We practice saying "Jesus" with him at home now and its not really clear but he's trying and you can make out what he's saying.

He loves to imitate us, loves to put on daddy's hats and shoes. He also loves to bother us when we are in the bathroom by knocking on the door, opening the door, or sticking his fingers under the door.

We have had trouble lately with him throwing a temper tantrum when he doesn't get his way.  He will sometimes get frustrated and throw his toys.  He will tell you "No" so we have to pop his hand or Brian will pop his behind.

He loves to play outside and I usually have to redirect him if he is getting close to the road or going somewhere in the yard he doesn't need to be going to.  He usually does a pretty good job of listening.
One day he took his first tumble in the yard and scraped his nose.  It was pitiful.  He looked like Rudolph.

We had a Christmas party with our small group.  Love them.
