October is here

We took our annual rode trip to the mountains with friends.  We filled up the back of Brian's truck with apples, sweet potatoes, apple cider, pumpkins, and sweet treats.  We also had a picnic and found a trail to hike.

We went to celebrate Uncle Joel's birthday and Jaxon played with his cousins.

My mother in law came over and helped me make applesauce from all the apples we bought in the mountains.  We made 24 quart jars.

I've had fun doing a few projects at home.  I made a growth chart for Jaxon, cleaned up and reupholstered an old trunk, made a Thanksgiving wreath for our door, and made a desk from materials at Habitat and other used items.  Brian has also been hard at work.  He made a helping/learning tower for Maddie Grace's birthday gift.  He also has been working on making a dining room table out of walnut.  He wants to make the chairs too.

Jaxon and I have been enjoying storytime at the local libraries about once a week with some of our friends.  Storytime includes stories, rhymes, movie, and a craft.  We've learned about fall and leaves, firetrucks, llamas, and our numbers and colors in spanish.  Jaxon has done really well with paying attention and sitting still for the most part.

Jaxon loves to play outside.  He pretends to mow the grass and play with all of his toys.  He loves to pick up all the acorns that end up on our driveway.  I have to watch him carefully because he loves to put them in his mouth.  He loves to watch his daddy mow the grass.
Jaxon loves to play with daddy when he comes home from work and loves to be tickled by daddy's beard.
