Supermom and catching up with friends

4 months

Brian is back at work and I'm trying to stay focused.  He has a 6 mile commute instead of 32 miles.  Thank you Lord!!! So many goals and things to accomplish, but I know that I don't need to be a supermom.  I have high hopes of planning meals for the week, having the house cleaned, errands done, and a shower before Brian gets home. So thankful that my wonderful hubby doesn't expect too much out of me except just to take care of our son.  I really do love my job of being a stay at home mom, I would not trade it for anything.  I am feel so blessed.  Here something that I took from an excerpt of http://time-warp-wife.blogspot.com  So good to remember to enjoy these moments that I have with Jaxon and other things can get done later.
 Ecclesiastes 3
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing. What that says to me is that newborns need your full attention and while they do you can’t expect to have the house the way that you always dreamed it would be or the way that you used to have it.

“a time to refrain from embracing.” That’s the stage when your kids start growing and you get busy taking them for walks, finger painting, going to the library, making cookies, etc. If Dad comes home and the house is a mess every day you might ask yourself,  “Am I balancing things as well as I should be?” I'm not saying that all moms with growing kids have immaculate homes--what I am saying here is that we must always evaluate our lives to ensure that we are in balance.
Being a good keeper of your home includes keeping your children healthy, happy, and free from harm. Good wives learn to prioritize well and at this stage in your life a baby is your primary concern and more than a full-time job.
"you are walking through a season of your life that will change as quickly as it arrived. Do what you can and let go of that which you can’t. Embrace your baby and enjoy every minute you have."

Jaxon is so fun to watch. Everytime I look at him I'm like how did he get so big so fast.
-He loves to play with his feet and put them in his mouth
-He's continues to be alert
-I love hearing him talk (I would love to know what he's saying)
-He can grip things pretty good (especially my hair)
-He's in between sizes 6 months and 9 months, it really depends on the brand and if he is wearing disposable or cloth diapers
-He's drooling all the time, but no teeth yet
-He rolled over on from his back to his tummy, but only has done it once.  It was in his crib.  I watched it on the monitor and it was pitiful.  The poor guy rolled over and didn't know how to get back on his back again.
-We try and help him out while he is on a blanket on the floor with rolling over.  He has done it by himself from tummy to back but I think its easier because his head is so heavy.
-He loves to move around in his crib.  I will put him down on one end of the bed.  He'll wake up with his head on the opposite side
-He loves his tongue
Meredith came to visit all the way from California and meets Jaxon for the first time

Elon reunion and their babies.  3 of my girlfriends from college and their babies got together.  We all live in different places now but it was fun to get together to celebrate Laurel who is pregnant with twins and will be here in the states for a year.  Her and her family have been overseas as missionaries.  It was so fun to watch the kids play together.  Thankful for these ladies and their friendships.  Who knew after graduating 10 years ago from college we would be married and now raising a family and getting together to catch up.

He had some more shots and did really well.  I learned to give him Tylenol beforehand.  The doctor said that we can start giving him cereal for a couple of days and then veggies then fruit.  I can't believe my little man is old enough for that.  Where did the time go?

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)- I just started going to our MOPS group that meets at our church.  We have about 50 ladies with young children.  It was fun to have a morning to chat and do fun things while Jaxon was with other children in the nursery. So thankful for a church family with great support.

Play date with the girls and their babies- So amazing where God has brought us.  I knew these ladies in youth group while I was a leader and they were a youth.  Cathy was a mentor and like another mother to me.  We are all wives and now mothers to our babies that are so close in age.  So exciting to be able to watch our babies grow up together.
