"Noise"

For some reason our son loves noise.  He loves anything with noise.  I made the mistake of getting him his own vacuum cleaner and dust buster.  Thankfully it was only $1 at a yard sale. He loves to help clean and will leave the noise on even when he is playing with other toys.  I will go and turn it off and he doesn't like it.  Thank goodness for Dollar Store batteries.  Sometimes I have to hide them while he is asleep, but usually he remembers the "noise" toys and wants them. He loves to help daddy with the shop vac and loves to hear daddy's weed eater and lawn mower.

More Words and new things

We have been practicing counting in Spanish and Brian will teach him words too.

He has been saying lots of new words all the time and he is putting more words together. His words are also clearer

He will start to add "please" to things he needs- which is so cute when he's so polite, you can't turn him down
open please
Help me
Hold you (means hold me)
Fire Truck
Diaper change
P U - He actually said that and he had a dirty diaper
He is so friendly when we are at the store and will say hi to everybody and bye when we leave
He loves to get in the drivers seat when the car or truck is parked at our house
cado (avocado)
Nana (banana)
He will take our finger and pull on it if he wants us to go somewhere
He loves to play with playdough and draw on his new easel and wants me to be right there with him
He is getting kind of bossy and will pull my finger and tell me to sit down if he wants me to play with him
He is entertained by hooking his high chair buckle together.  The only thing is he can't figure out how to unbuckle so he will say "help me"
We have noticed he is more clingy and fussy when I am around but when daddy is around he isn't and will play more independently

He loves being outside with his daddy and playing with his trucks.

We had a lunch date with my aunt.  He didn't last long at lunch.  All he wanted to do was go outside and then he was a happy camper.

Mother's Day

So blessed to be the mother to this little guy. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

So thankful for my mom.  She has been a great mom, mother in law, and Mimmie. I wish she lived closer.  Thankful for her support, love, prayers, and encouragement.

We were able to go visit my parents for Mother's Day.  We had a great time.  Jaxon had fun climbing in my cousin's dog crate and closing himself in there.

He loved having tea parties at my parents house.

All ready for church.

 Playing with playdough with daddy

Being silly

Cleaning Mimmie and Pop Pop's house. I think I'll hire him.

Loves his Mimmie and Pop Pop

Look at what Jaxon Van Gogh made me.

Jaxon es Dos anos

Jaxon is 2 years old now.  He also says he is "dos" (2 in Spanish)  We had a Construction theme party. He loves trucks, tractors, and cars.  So it was perfect.  We had yummy food and we built hamburgers.
I am thankful that my family was here to help me decorate and get things ready.
My cousin Ally also graduated from High Point Univ. the same weekend as his birthday.  So we decided to celebrate with family since they were in town for the graduation.  It worked out perfect because we got to spend extra time with family.  My parents, sister, brother in law, niece, Aunt Wendy, Aunt Gloria and Uncle Rob as well as Brian's parents, 2 aunts and 2 cousins were able to be here for the birthday party.

All dressed for the party

Fruit blocks (fruit skewers), Pebbles (reeces pieces)

yummy cake made by my mother in law

Nuts and bolts (chex mix), safety cones (bugles), wrecking balls (cheese balls), paint brushes (rice krispie treats)

Loves his "Grace" (Maddie Grace)- they had so much fun together. Wish they lived closer.

Can't believe our little guy is 2 already. Time has flown by.  We are already experiencing the terrible 2's. I mean the terrific 2's.  He has been more fussy and likes to throw tantrums.  This is a learning process and I know we will get through it.  Thankful for an awesome husband and daddy to help me out. I just hope and pray it will get easier especially with baby #2 coming in October.

Children's Museum

He loves going to the Children's Museum.  I love the fact that he can run around and play and get his energy out especially when the weather is bad.
