Maternity pictures and baby update

We finally got some maternity pictures taken.  Thankfully Jaxon cooperated for the most part and we were able to get some really good shots.

Since we dont' want to know the gender until baby is born, my sister got us a plain white outfit with a hat.  She suggested we take the gender ultrasound to a monogramming place and get them to personalize the hat with the name on it depending on what the gender is.  So I took the ultrasound picture sealed up in an envelope with the 2 names and had then put the name on the hat.  Then they wrapped it up for me to pick up.  Its been in the back of my car for a few weeks now.  I have been tempted to look but we've waited this long and I can't ruin it for Brian and I wouldn't be able to pretend to be surprised when baby is born.

Almost 40 weeks
No signs or symptoms of baby wanting to join us yet.  I haven't had any contractions.  Still haven't had any issues with swelling and I've gained about 20 pounds, I think mainly because I'm not sitting at a desk and working and instead being active with a 2year old.  Everytime I go to the doctor they tell me baby hasn't dropped and I haven't really dilated yet.  They went ahead and wanted to schedule to induce me on the evening of November 3rd.  My cervix is still thick so they will start things early and give me some meds Monday night.  Can't believe our son/daughter will be here really soon.  It is going to be really interesting to see how Jaxon reacts to having a baby around 24/7.  We know he will be a great big brother.

Fall Fun

For the second year in a row we have enjoyed going J. Razz Tazz Farm.  They have lots of fun things for Jaxon to do.  This year since Jaxon is a little older and he enjoyed it alot more.  He still had to get used to the corn silo.  He wasn't too sure about it when we first got there but enjoyed it and didn't want to leave.  Of course he loved seeing the tractors.

Our Life Community at church had a Halloween party.  It was fun to see all the kids dressed up.  There were lots of fun things to play with and we got to go on a hay ride.

October fun

With our 5 bushels of apples we canned 50+ quart jars of applesauce and put some in the freezer. Thankfully my inlaws came over and helped us.  I think we will be stocked for a while for Jaxon and baby Jordan.

Its been getting a little cooler which I love. We decided to turn off our AC.  It got a little too cold in the house.  One morning we found Jaxon in his big bed under his covers and just the top of his head sticking out.  Poor thing got cold I guess.  We have been so proud of him, he loves his big boy bed. He loves to look out the window in the morning to say bye to daddy and blow him kisses from the window.  It just makes his day.  Sometimes I wish he would sleep longer, but I shouldn't complain.  He plays really well in his room while I get ready in the morning.  I'm glad we decided to leave the train table in his room.  It keeps him entertained.  He loves to play with his trains in the morning

I hope the really cold weather won't come for a while.  Jaxon loves playing outside so we will have to get creative and get out of the house some after the baby comes so he can get his energy out.

We found a fun park to check out with some of our friends one day.  Its great because its fenced in and makes it easy for the moms not to have to chase the kids around.

Jaxon's friend Caroline turned 3 and she had her party at a farm.

Our sweet neighbors came over and gave their hot wheels to Jaxon.  The boys outgrew them and they were trying to get rid of some their toys.  A whole box of tracks and hot wheels cars.  Jaxon loves them.  We just have to figure out how to put the track together.  It didn't come with instructions.

Jaxon
He's so skinny that pants are hard to find to fit him.  He has been wearing 18-24month pants or 24month pants rolled up with adjustable waist.  Most of his shirts are 24month or 2T.  He is a growing boy.  We just got him new shoes for the fall/winter he is already in a size 7.  The shoes look so big.
He is still a pretty good eater.  He loves fruit- apples, oranges, grapes, strawberries, and blueberries.
He is very opinionated and can be OCD about things sometimes (ie has to close the doors upstairs before coming downstairs, cleaning up his toys)
People always label 2 years old as being the terrible 2's.  Honestly it hasn't been that bad. Its been a fun stage actually.  He has his moments or days, but he is a fun child to be around.  He listens really well, even though it might take him longer to do something.  He understands more than you think.  If he doesn't get his way he may throw a little fit but we try to get on his level and explain something to him he seems to understand.
ie- He wants to bring his toys with him into church or to where ever we are going.  We tell him lets leave them in the car, you might loose them.  You can play with them when we come back to the car.
He loves to wrestle and play with daddy when he comes home from work
He loves to line up his toys
Brian has been building things and selling them on his etsy business page.  He finally has been able to build a few things for Jaxon.
My car is finally in the garage.  I gave Brian a deadline and told him it needed to be in there before the baby comes.   Jaxon loves to play in the garage while daddy does woodworking
